Steve Potter is the CEO of Odgers Berndtson US and sits on its Global Board. He has spent over two decades as a founder, CEO and senior executive of several financial services executive search firms. Steve co-founded and served as CEO of Sextant Search Partners. Prior to that, he was appointed CEO of TMP Worldwide Executive Search, following TMP’s acquisition of Highland Search Group, a boutique executive search firm that he founded in 1995. Steve was one of five divisional CEOs for TMP Worldwide, a $7B public company and owner of moster.com, and he also served on the TMP management committee.
Steve began his recruiting career at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he started the firm’s global banking and merchant banking practice. He oversaw Russel Reynold’s Asian operation and served as a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Potter has a BA in History and English from Yale University.
Ed Karthaus has more than 30 years of experience in the technology, financial services and telecommunications industries. He was previously the COO of Teneda Inc. and has held senior executive leadership roles at Prophix Software Inc., D+H, Filogix LP and NCR Canada. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Research, Innovation and Commercialization Centre (RIC Centre) and remains an adviser today. Ed began his career with Xerox Canada and Oracle Canada.
David has had a 27 year career in the financial services industry starting as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch Canada in 1986.In 1989 he joined the Institutional Equity team at Burns Fry Ltd and remained with the firm after it was bought out by the Bank of Montreal in 1994. A few years later he became Global Co-Head of the Equity Products Group and an Executive Managing Director of the bank.
In 2008, David retired from BMO Capital Markets and started an interesting career path in the midst of a global financial crisis. In 2009 he became president of an international quantitatively based money manager called Mapleridge Capital. In 2011 he accepted the position of President and CEO of Macquarie Capital Markets Canada, a full service capital markets business. David is currently a partner at Delaney Capital Management, a Canadian based money management firm with approximately $2 billion in assets under management. David is a board member of Alamos Gold Inc. as well as Kew Media Group Inc. and has served as a director of a number of Canadian based charities. He is currently Vice-Chair of Soulpepper Theatre Company and a board member of the Art Gallery of Ontario Foundation. He received his MBA from INSEAD and recently completed the Institute of Corporate Directors program at the Rotman School of Management.
